The Auckland Project Durham

Today, we are helping shape the future of cultural spaces with the Auckland Project in Bishop Auckland, installing collections across the stunningly restored Auckland Castle and its new museums and gallery spaces.

Over the last decade North Exhibition Services have had the privilege to be entrusted with the handling and installation of paintings throughout these galleries by artists such as Salvador Dali, El Greco, Rembrandt, Velázquez and Francisco de Zurbarán, as well as more contemporary artists such as Mat Collishaw, Tracey Emin and Ron Mueck.

We are also responsible for the annual installation of the monumental 18th -­‐century Neapolitan Nativity scene. Known in Italian as a presepe, this remarkable diorama measures 11ft tall and 15ft wide with over 421 individually carved figures making up the nativity scene.
